WHY RAMP?

a mini story + a few fun images

or go home instead
Over the last 4 years, I've worked at six startups.
While they've all been very different, the one thing that's been consistent was teams either
1) had inadequate financial management or
2) spent A LOT of time closing books
For example, I once saw 'Impact Kitchen' (a Canadian version of Sweetgreens) filed under SaaS tool spending.
I’ve also seen bigger issues, like inaccurate CAC values and financial projections due to improperly filed costs.
For a while, I’ve wondered why there wasn’t a tool to streamline these financial tasks, especially when it's something every business deals with.
Then I found Ramp (on Founders!)
2 things I admire most about Ramp:
  1. You align incentives with your customers (reducing costs + saving time!)
  2. You make products simple to use → love the concept of product teams owning support tickets instead of operations
Aside from the product, I'm excited by what I’ve seen of Ramp’s culture. Some of my favourites:
01 Truth-seeking pods + ownership
02 Twitter memes (currently all Saquon lol)
03 Firefighter Rampy!
Joining Ramp would be a dream, and hopefully I can show why I'd be a great fit too. Here are 2 projects to get you started :)
