WHY FIGMA?

a mini story + a few fun images

or go home instead
a while back, my figma screen time surpassed my sleep duration.
a recent example...
i’m not sure what that says about me (or my social life), but i do know that the one thing i'd enjoy more than working in Figma, is working at Figma.
i've learned so much of what i know about design from using Figma or reading the blogs
aside from how much I love the tool, I’m excited by the bits of Figma’s culture I’ve seen through browsing the design team trading cards, watching Jenny Wen’s talk at UWaterloo, and reading all the Twitter memes.
i've also learned so much of what i know about design from using Figma or reading the blogs: design systems, ux vs product design, double diamond design process, components, REM units, & the list continues...
after everything i've learned + loved from Figma,  contributing as part of the community would be a dream come true :)

FFQ

(fun figma questions!)

favourite tool?

i'm not sure, but i appreciate the detail of making the drop shadow icon match the direction of the drop shadow

i've also had so many braindead conversations on cursor chat i love it

something you hated but grown to love?

components. in the beginning, i used to get so annoyed when i saw elements were purple (because it meant to detach them!)

now i use them so much and it's made my life much better

most excited for at figma?

i'm really excited to hear everyone's story. it seems to me that a lot of designers don't come from a "design" background and it's so interesting to what brought them to design + what lessons & superpowers they have because of those experiences
